Job Posting: Bilingual Clinic Assistant, Our Community Birth Center

Our Community Birth Center is a community-focused organization in Springfield/Eugene, Oregon. We provide full scope nurse midwifery care in a birth center and clinic setting. Our services include pregnancy, birth, postpartum, ultrasound, newborn care, fertility, contraception, gender affirming care, gynecology, and primary care. Our Community Birth Center has been open and providing services since November 2021 and over that time has established a robust and experienced team to support our midwifery work including Certified Nurse Midwives, Registered Nurses, a Community Engagement Coordinator, and Operations Coordinator.

Our Community Birth Center is located in the heart of the Eugene-Springfield area in Lane County, Oregon. It’s just a short drive to the ocean, mountains, desert, and many lakes and rivers. It’s also family friendly and has amazing food, farmers markets, and gardening. The birth center is located next to a beautiful public park and river allowing for fresh air and peaceful walks. Position type: Full-time, hourly staff position.

Pay: $26 – $28 per hour

Hours: 40 hours / week. 

Hours: Daytime and weekday hours. This position also comes with Paid Time Off and holidays.

Required Education and/or Experience; Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:

  • Training or work experience in any one, or more than one, of these areas/professions: Medical Assistant, Medical Interpreter (Spanish/English), Social work, Doula, Nursing Assistant, or Nurse. We will also consider applicants with other relevant or equivalent training or work experience.
  • Acceptable Spanish language skills (verbal and written). Medical interpreter training and experience is preferred but not required.
  • One year of successful experience in health care, medical interpreting, social work, doula work, and/or relevant customer service experience.
  • Maintain valid Basic Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records, Microsoft Office products, Google Suite, Zoom, and a willingness to learn other computer databases and tools as needed.
  • Must complete background check and driving record check successfully meeting our criteria.
