Job Posting: Operations Coordinator, Our Community Birth Center

Our Community Birth Center is a community-focused organization in Springfield/Eugene, Oregon that is growing and evolving even as we recruit for this position. We are seeking an Operations Coordinator to support the general operations and management of our community-based birth center facility and midwifery practice in collaboration with our Executive Director/Certified Nurse Midwife. Our birth center remodel is finishing in fall 2021. Our Community Birth Center is located in the heart of the Eugene-Springfield area in Lane County, Oregon. It’s just a short drive to the ocean, mountains, desert, Portland OR, and many lakes and rivers. It’s also family friendly and has amazing food, farmers markets, and gardening.
Position type: Salaried staff position (exempt).
Hours: 0.75 FTE
Salary: $36,000 per year
Note Regarding Pay: Our Community Birth Center is a new organization. We are committed to increasing staff pay as revenue increases.
Benefits: Portion of health insurance premiums covered. Continuing education stipend. Remote work stipend. Retirement plan.
Shifts: Most work will take place during daytime hours Monday – Friday. Occasional evening and weekend hours are required.
Start Date: October or November 2021
Required Education and/or Experience; Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:
- Commitment to Our Community Birth Center’s purpose, mission, values, strategy, and objectives.
- Commitment to equity, social justice, and anti-racism personally and professionally.
- Minimum of two years experience in management or operations of community-based midwifery birth center services.
- Minimum of two years experience with supervising health care staff, financial management of health care services, health care quality improvement, scheduling of on call staff and scheduling of client clinic visits, and developing health care policies and procedures.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Quickbooks, and a willingness to learn other computer software and tools as needed.
- Must complete a background check successfully meeting our criteria.
Preferred Education and/or Experience; Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:
- Experience complying with requirements by Oregon Health Authority for licensed birth centers.
- Experience obtaining and maintaining birth center accreditation through the Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers.
- Knowledge of birth center billing and coding procedures.
- Spanish or other language skills in addition to English.
